I am super excited about Patti Phillips’ upcoming trip to New Zealand!
I first met Patti back in 1999 just after I had attended an ROI workshop run by Jack called Measuring HR’s Return on Investment. (Jack is Patti’s husband and the founder and Chair of the ROI Institute.) This workshop, held in Auckland, was my first exposure to the Phillips’ ROI Methodology and I was immediately hooked. I had long held a passion for measurement and proving value and here, at last, was a methodology to help me measure the effectiveness of HR and learning solutions in my organisation, which at that time was the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN).
I have brought Patti and Jack out to New Zealand on several occasions since then, to run ROI certifications and speak at conferences and workshops and, over the years, we have become friends; I always enjoy working with them.
I am currently writing this blog from Alabama, where I am attending an ROI Institute partners’ workshop. Jack and Patti are excellent hosts, and this is an awesome opportunity to add to my ROI skills, learn about updates in the ROI world, and meet other global partners. I look forward to sharing some of these insights with you in future blogs.
Patti has a busy time lined up for her upcoming New Zealand visit, including three ROI workshops, in Christchurch on 14 May, Wellington on 15 May and Auckland on 18 May. While in Auckland, she will also be a keynote speaker the NZATD conference.
As if that’s not enough, we are also are exploring options for Patti to run ROI Certification here in Auckland in the week 21-25 May – this is a very rare opportunity to learn from the best. Please contact us if interested in ROI Certification and/or download the ROI Certification brochure here.
All in all, it’s going to be a very busy and exciting time in May and I’m really looking forward to seeing Patti share her impressive knowledge with L&D, OD and HR professionals in New Zealand.
